Ustadz Jaka: Can you still see ghosts during the fasting month?

During the month of fasting Satan is shackled by Allah SWT. But what about ghosts? Can we see ghosts in the fasting month?

Question

Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.

I'm Gilang, a future husband for a woman I haven't found yet. If Ustadz has a recommendation for a woman that I can make a halal mother, it's okay to let me know. That's all the introduction.

So, during this fasting month, there are many worship practices at night. From the start of the tarawih prayer, witr, to waking up at dawn; while I'm a coward. My question is, if the devil is shackled during the fasting month, so during the night of the fasting month we can't see ghosts, right? Yes, there are all kinds of appearances, Ustadz. Because honestly, I'm lazy to wake up in the morning afraid of seeing ghosts.

Wassalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.

To answer Gilang's question, in the article Is it true that Satan is tied up during the month of fasting? I had mentioned that the devil was indeed shackled. It also mentions that demons and ghosts are different. Then, can you still see ghosts in this month of Ramadan? The answer is still.

We can still see ghosts in this fasting month. Because ghosts themselves are not demons that are included in the list of Allah's shackles in the month of fasting. Ghosts are projections of Qorin (companion jinn) that come from people who have died. Unlike the spirit that returns to the afterlife after death, Qorin who is a jinn will remain immortal until the apocalypse.

And thus We have made enemies for every prophet, namely the devils (of) humans and (of) jinn, some of them whispering to others beautiful words to deceive (humans). If your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and what they invent. (Q.S. Al-An'am 6:112)

Well, in the verse it says "Satan from the jinn". So it is clear that the devil is different from the jinn, and also different from ghosts. So obviously the ghost will still be there in the month of fasting. If you still doubt that demons are different from ghosts, devil chips are not the same as ghost chips, right?

How do we see ghosts? This ghost which is a genie can project itself under certain conditions, it can be at night, in humid places, and others. This is because they can only be projected into our eyes at a certain frequency. You can read more about ghost sightings in the article This is the scientific explanation behind the appearance of ghosts at night.

Brother Gilang doesn't have to be afraid to wake up in the morning. Because sahur in the fasting month is definitely together with others. And again, sahur is important to make our fasting worship smooth and not makruh because we complain about being weak or hungry while fasting. Don't be afraid of ghosts, they are different from us. Wallahu a'lam bishwab.
