Ubuntu Touch is an operating system for smartphones. More specifically, it is intended for some Android devices such as the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2013), and Nexus 10. The Ubuntu Touch team will recently be adding support for the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, and Nexus 9.

Here's How to Install Ubuntu Touch on an Android Smartphone
When Ubuntu Touch was announced initially, the installation process was sufficient complex. The reason is to be able to run Ubuntu Touch on an Android device, you must have an Ubuntu desktop too. However, there is an easier way to install Ubuntu Touch now.
Precondition
- A device that supports e.g. Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2013), or Nexus 10
- Free up at least 2.7 GB of free space on your device
- Bootloader unlocked
- USB Debugging enabled
- ADB drivers on your PC are already installed
Install Ubuntu Dual Boot Application on Smartphone
To get started, you must first download and install the official app Ubuntu Dual Boot on your Android phone. This process will reset the device, so make sure you have backed up all data first.
- Connect Android device to PC.
- Download script installation dual boot latest from here. Now, open terminal/command prompt and enter the following code:
``chmod + x dualboot.sh` - When finished, then enter the following command to run script:
./dualboot.sh
Install Ubuntu Touch
Once the Ubuntu app installation is complete, you can now proceed with the Ubuntu Touch installation.
- Open the app Ubuntu Dual Boot on mobile.
- choose channelChoose channel to install.
- choose channelUtopic, as recommended by Canonical. Make sure you tick on the option bootstrap.
- Then select Grant when the app asks for access Superuser.qq.
- After download done, press Reboot into Ubuntu for boot to Ubuntu Touch.
