A lot of people complain that the network is slow, even often Smartphone signal is missing. What are the causes and how to overcome them? Come on, see below!

Causes of Lost Smartphone Signal

Before Jaka enters the main discussion, Jaka first wants to tell you a few things the reason why the Smartfren signal is lost.

To find the best solution in overcoming the lost smartfren signal on Xiaomi or any cellphone, of course you have to find out the cause first.

Actually there are many factors that can make the Smartfren signal disappear, but the following five reasons are the most common.

1. Poor Signal

The most common cause why your signal is missing is the location where you are, gang. Because the signal strength of each provider is different.

Even though Smartfren has a fairly extensive network, Smarfren's network is not as wide as other major providers such as Telkomsel, XL, or Indosat.

Not all areas have good Smartfren network coverage. You can try moving to another location to look for a more stable Smartfren signal.

2. Turn off the light

It turns out that the blackout also affects the strength of your signal, you know. When the lights go out, the tower provider or BTS will also go out.

This makes your cellphone unable to pick up signals from the nearest BTS tower and you have to look for connections to other BTS towers that are not affected by blackouts.

In addition to making the Smartfren signal disappear, turning off the lights can also make your battery even more wasteful because your cellphone will work hard to find a signal.

3. Bad Weather

Bad weather can also make your signal disappear, you know. Especially if it's raining heavily accompanied by terrible lightning.

As we know, mobile network traffic is carried on radio waves. The direction of the signal will spread in all directions due to rain and wind.

Large volumes of water can block radio waves at the frequencies used by the network. The wind can also shift the transmitting cable or antenna in the BTS.

4. HP is damaged or doesn't support 4G

If earlier we discussed external causes, now is the time to discuss internal causes, gangs. Before you use Smartfren, make sure that your cellphone supports 4G.

Not only that, you also have to make sure that your cellphone is set for 4G. One other internal cause is maybe your cellphone is damaged.

A cellphone that is often rained or splashed by water will be damaged quickly. Especially if the water seeps into the simcard slot, causing rust.

Well, if for example your Smartfren GSM 4G signal is lost, it's better if you just lock the network, gang. This makes your cellphone more focused on looking for only 1 network and the signal will come back again.

It's quite easy, really! Here are the steps:

  • Step 1: open dial pad or USSD menu on your cellphone using the Smartfren provider.

  • Step 2: Type the code *#*#4636#*#* on the dial pad. Wait a few moments until a new page appears

  • Step 3: Choose which SIM card slot is occupied by Smartfren if your cellphone has more than 1 SIM slots.

  • Step 4: Change the network type to LTE Only, then wait for a few moments. Check the dBM which is the signal indicator. The higher it is, the better your network will be.
