Kafir Movie Synopsis
Photo source: Woman Talk Once upon a time there was a happy family consisting of a husband and wife, Herman (Tedy Shach), Sri (Princess Ayudya), and his two children, Andi (Rangga Azof) and Dina (Nadya Ariana).
While having dinner together, suddenly the father felt pain and took out broken glass from his mouth, killing him.
Since the unfortunate incident, the peace of the family was disturbed. The mother looked strange and frightened.
The children did not want to see their mother slumped like that. Dina tries to find out what causes the mystical events around them.
On the other hand, Andi tries to bring joy to his family by introducing his new girlfriend named Hanum (Beautiful Permatasari).
The mother took another path. He approached a village shaman named Jarwo (Sujiwo Tejo). Turns out, it was sins in the past that brought all this havoc.

Kafir filming was done in Banyuwangi, East Java. The reason for choosing this location is because Banyuwangi is close to many mystical things.
Despite the horror genre, this film lacks background shocking. Even so, this film will still make your hair stand on end.
This movie takes 90s background, so that the feel of the film is dominated by tone pale yellow.
Presence Princess Ayudya who plays the character Sri is the reason why Sujiwo Tejo is willing to play in this film.
This film has nothing to do with the film infidel which was released in 2002. In the old film, Sujiwo Tejo also took on the role of the central character.

Film infidel this is compared to a movie Satan's Servant directed by Joko Anwar. The reason is, both films tell the story of a family who gets terror.
