There are two basic differences between films Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
MCU films are often presented as fresh and full of comedy. On the other hand, DCEU films are portrayed in a dark tone and rarely contain comedic elements.
However, that doesn't mean DC can't make funny superhero movies, gang! The proof is Shazam! this one!
Synopsis of Shazam!
Photo source: The Harvard Crimson Billy Batson (Asher Angel) is an ordinary teenager with an ordinary life. He also often gets problems that are usually faced by children his age.
Even so, Billy is a good boy. He often helps teenagers his age who are often abused.bully. One of them is his best friend, Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer).
Once upon a time, there was a group of teenagers harassing Freddy who was disabled and walked with a cane. Billy defended him even though his opponent was much bigger than him.
After that, he escaped by using the subway. However, he finds himself stranded in a mysterious place.
There, he meets an old man who forces him to say his name, Shazam. After saying that name, Billy's body turned into a person with great power.
Billy and his friends try to find out what powers he has. They don't know yet, Shazam is endowed with extraordinary divine powers.
However, behind great power lies great responsibility.

The name Shazam is actually an acronym for the names of the gods, namely Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury. Each of them gave their power to Shazam.
Shazam inherits Solomon's wisdom, Hercules' power, Atlas' stamina, Zeus' strength, Achilles' courage, and Mercury's speed.
Before becoming Shazam, the name of this superhero was Captain Marvel. This name changed to Shazam in 2011.
DC is not the party that created the character Shazam in the first place. The one who did it was Fawcett Comics. Shazam itself was purchased by DC in 1953.
Shazam was the first superhero to appear in the film, precisely in 1941 with the title The Adventure of Captain Marvel.
Shazam character cast, Zachary Levi, has appeared in Marvel movies Thor: The Dark World as Fandral.
Dwayne Johnson will soon join the DCEU by playing the role of Black Adam, Shazam's greatest enemy.
