Synopsis of Korean Drama Encounter (2018)

Encounter tells the story of a woman named Cha Soo-Hyun (Song Hye-Kyo) who is the daughter of a wealthy politician.

After Cha Soo-Hyun graduated from college, he was then betrothed to a rich man who had a successful business and company.

This marriage is not based on love but because it is for the sake of smoothing his father's career as a politician. Cha Soo-Hyun agreed because he didn't want to disappoint his father.

Unfortunately, Cha Soo-Hyun's marital relationship had to run aground due to her husband having an affair. After the divorce, Cha Soo-Hyun focuses more on his career by becoming the CEO of his hotel.

Meanwhile, Kim Jin-Hyeok (Park Bo Gum) is an ordinary young man who is looking for a job. While looking for a permanent job, Kim Jin-Hyeok also works part-time.

Kim Jin-Hyeok gets an interview call to work at a hotel. After conducting the interview, Kim Jin-Hyeok then went to Cuba.

In Cuba, he meets Cha Soo-Hyun who accidentally bumps into him. Even though they don't know each other and haven't met at all, there is an attraction between the two of them.

Even so, they thought that this was just a moment and not their destiny. However, no one can predict a person's destiny.

When he returned to Korea, Kim Jin-Hyeok received news that he was accepted to work at Donghwa Hotel. As fate would have it, Hotel Donghwa is a hotel owned and managed by Cha Soo-Hyun.
