It was discovered by Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz) who is looking for robot spare parts in a dump.
Dr. Ido also gives Alita a new body. Not only that, Dr. Ido also instills human feelings and love for Alita.
Slowly, Dr. Ido explains the city where they live, namely Iron City. Then, Alita met with Hugo (Keenan Johnson).
