- IMEI blocking scheme also applies to Lost or stolen cellphone, so it cannot be reused by others. This blocking must be supported by proof of loss and reported to the service provider.
- All HP BM, whether new or used, which are activated with the services of an Indonesian operator after 18 April 2020 can no longer be used (cannot use cellular signal).
- To buying HP from abroad, there is also a way to register an unregistered HP IMEI by going through excise. This applies only to the two devices carried by the passenger (hand carry), where to report and register IMEI at the airport upon arrival. If the value of the goods is above 500 US dollars, the applicable import tax will also be imposed.
- IMEI blocking is only applied to devices HKT (WL, handheld computers, and tablets), not including for laptops.
